The answer is yes. From the latest research it is proved that a layer of Ozone is present in Troposphere which comes into existence due to various human activities. Now you must be confused…. Isn’t Ozone naturally created in Stratosphere? Yes It is also true.
Let me introduce you to the concept of “Bad Ozone and Good Ozone”.
A Good ozone (O3) is a naturally created layer in the lower Stratosphere layer of Earth, which protects us from harmful ultraviolet rays of sun. And the good news is “The hole in the ozone layer over the Antarctic has begun to shrink” thanks to various measures taken by various nations such as Montreal Protocol and Kyoto Protocol.
Now the Bad Ozone, the bad ozone is created after a chemical reaction of Nitrogen Oxide with Oxygen in presence of sunlight and low pressure. When an ample amount of Nitrogen oxide is released from various flue gas emissions and the gas reaches to mid troposphere layer the chemical reaction takes place and Bad O3 is created. But the Question is why it is bad?
It is bad because it reduces the Quality of air and increases pollution which can trigger a variety of health problems including chest pain, coughing, and throat irritation. It can worsen bronchitis, emphysema, and asthma. "Bad ozone also can reduce lung function and inflame the linings of the lungs.
Now what next ? is it irreversible? No. The recent study has found the high level of Iodine in atmosphere which reduces the bad Ozone layer. It’s a self destructing technology in which iodine has been increased in atmosphere, three times from the time of World war II and the same Iodine mixes with bad ozone layer to reduce it.
In this research, we understands that the Nature does have a self healing aspect but that has its own limit. If we continue our irresponsible activities to destruct nature, we must be ready to face the bitter consequences.
